Saint Mary´s Mission, Riviera
Priest-in-charge: Padre Gilberto Porcal The photo above from Saint Mary´s Mission in Rivera, Uruguay was taken on the day of the consecration of the new, larger chapel in September 2004. This is the third move the congregation have made since the Mission was established – we are blessed by a congregation that continues to grow and consequently we are constantly in need of larger premises! As the mission is located in the City of Rivera, right on the border of Uruguay and Brazil, Father Gilberto Porcal invited his colleague from the city of Sant´Ana de Livramento, Brazil to celebrate with him. Saint Mary´s mission is sustained by the offerings of the congregation with the help that other congregations in Uruguay can send month to month and by the support of companion parishes abroad. |
